Did you know that creating content can actually be really enjoyable and fun?
Seriously, it can. Hear me out.
When I first started my business I was still working full time and I was knee deep in the middle of my master’s program. I didn’t have extra time and I wanted to be really efficient with my time. When I was told that the most successful entrepreneurs always batched content, I assumed that’s what I needed to do.
On Saturday mornings I’d block 3 hours for batching content and I’d sit at my computer staring at the screen wondering what to write about. I’d look at my content calendar, feel less than inspired, and start scrolling for “inspiration.” I’d then find myself creating content from a place of needing it to be perfect, hoping it would do its job of getting me a client, but believing it didn’t really matter anyway because nobody would even see it.
Underneath my actions here’s the truth about what was happening. I was judging my ideas and believing they weren’t valuable or worthy of being shared. I was shaming myself for not being further ahead and not having it all figured out. And I was shaming myself for taking so much time and not having the results I wanted to show for it.
This went on for some time.
Until I decided that there had to be another way.
I started to see that following a formula, looking around at what everyone else said I should be doing, and working hard to do it perfectly wasn’t working for me. And this realization opened me up to what else might be possible.
That’s when I started to question the rules I was playing by. I started to challenge them, then break them, and then throw them out the window altogether.

And here’s what I learned about creating content from the inside out and what I now help my clients with.
When we stop judging and shaming our ideas,
when we stop thinking there’s a right or perfect way to do it,
when we stop treating ourselves like soulless machines – create x number of posts, reels, lives, podcasts, blog posts, emails, videos on this day from this time to that time or else…
And instead we give ourselves time to play, experience pleasure, get outside in nature, rest, enjoy our lives, and listen to ourselves and our ideas
we’ll notice that we also start to give ourselves permission to ask ourselves what other ideas are trying to come through us,
focus on love and service,
focus on who we’re being and the energy behind what we’re creating,
connect on a deeper level with ourselves and our soul mate clients,
believe again in the magic within ourselves and our dream clients,
and we open ourselves up to find the gold!
This is where the real magic lies.
This is how we begin creating content from the inside out.
When this is how we show up for ourselves, we naturally create content that’s aligned with us, that lights us up and that speaks to our dreamiest clients on a deeper, more soulful level.
